A Cornucopia of Manure with Jenna Isaacs
This week we are joined by sommelier and Certified Specialist of Wine Jenna Issacs, who brings her expertise to a discussion of biodynamics. We talk about what biodynamics is exactly, its history, and whether or not it's worth all the hype.
Cocktails Discussed:
Cava Á La Steiner
2 oz. Sweet Gwendoline gin
2 oz. Brut Cava
1/3 oz. Killdeer Absinthe Traditionnel
1/4 oz. Bénédictine
Based on the Champagne Á La Fouquet, as printed in The Dead Rabbit Drinks Manual
Combine all ingredients save the Cava in a shaker with ice, and shake until chilled, about ten seconds. Strain into a tall glass filled with fresh ice. Top with the Cava, and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.
Weekend at the Goetheanum
2 oz. Marian Farms Pisquita
3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. Marian Farms Curaçao
1/4 oz. Ventura Spirits Strawberry Brandy
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice, and shake until well chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe glass, and garnish with a brandied cherry and lime twist.
